It’s not pleasant talking about the misery of kids and the unimaginable trauma they have faced in their young lives. But we are not going to sugar-coat it. If we did, it wouldn’t be fair to our kids and it wouldn’t be fair to you because you wouldn’t really know how much suffering they have experienced and how desperately we need your support to help us provide them with the urgent care they need.
AARON’S* STORY
When Connor was a little boy, he watched his dad beat his mum so viciously that she died from her injuries the same night And even though he knew there would be no choice, he never thought it would be the last time he would ever see his mum.
Unfortunately, foster care was just as dangerous with unfathomable physical and sexual abuse.
JESSICA’S* STORY
Jessica was born into extreme poverty, with both parents addicted to drugs, Beth was placed in foster care at a young age. Her physical disability put a strain on her new family. But her mum didn’t want her back. So at 16 with no place to go, she ended up on the streets.
